Annabelle and Adam now hail from The Isle of Man, and came back to Annabelle’s pretty home village of Eggington for their wedding, with the beautiful Wrest Park wedding venue for their reception. The family home is a short walk from St Michael’s Church, and at the start of the day it did seem as if the wet weather had followed the couple from the Isle of Man. I always have two white umbrellas for occasions such as this, and they were put to good use! Annabelle looked amazing in her Ritva Westenius gown, and Adam and the boys scrubbed up well in their morning suits.
Annabelle and Adam love all things fast and sporty, and met while racing sailing boats off the Isle of Man coast. They love the TT Races, and not wanting to be parted with her sparkly white BMW M3, Annabelle brought her car over, and it became the official wedding car. Luckily Adam took a long leisurely route to Wrest Park, and I didn’t have to try and keep up with them on the way across!
I’ve photographed many weddings at Wrest Park, but this was the first I have done where the Mansion House was the venue for the wedding breakfast. The magnificent room is lined with books, and the gold decorations stand out from the rich green flock walls. It was a fabulous setting for the meal and the speeches. The house and grounds are a photographer’s dream, and I hope you’ll enjoy the images from Annabelle and Adam’s beautiful Wrest Park wedding.
